Am I Buyable???
The question I ask to my own soul often is this.. "Am I Buyable?? Do I perform something that I can able to compete in this world?" One of my Mentor in my college days has initiated this thought in me. I always think that everyone should have a thought or a book-mark in their mind about this question.Technically speaking(am an IT Guy ha..ha..:-)...) everone should maintain a tracker of their own issues everyday they are facing and it should be updated regularly. 'Atleast once in every three days, Guys!!'(My manager Says this..Lolz..)
To the business now..
"You should be a good Marketer, though you are an Engineering graduate or a science student" these were the real words of my Mentor. I thought it was not a worthy line to be remembered always. But as the saying goes, "Wisdom will not be taught; they are only found after a long search". (wondering who said this? Not taught to me. I Found after a long search. After all this is also a kind of Wisdom. ha ha..) And i found that wisdom of my own. I was so proud about myself and once I took back my old notes and when I saw my archived mails from my Mentor,I was shocked to saw that was already told by himself. But he doesn't hold any patents for that(really..) may be he may got that wisdom from his own mentor or any other books he read. But that doesn't matter to me. The wisdom I got is more precious and in-valuable.
I am not insist on anybody to ask yourself this question and do it. But i am sharing this as it is available in everyone but we seldom realized it. I am asking to realize. When you write an exam in your school, you are marketing yourself before the teachers; when you are writing an exam in your college, you are marketing yourself before the university that you are capable of holding a graduation. When you attend an interview, i don't need to say that you are marketing yourself before the HR. Every time you complete your project or a task, you are marketing YOU. In the recent days I often think of my career path, and say "Am I going in the RIGHT path? Is this the way I ought to choose? Is this the path that God has decided for me?" But I am not sure always. Actually I am moving in a direction where my everyday works drives me. "Don't I have any goals to achieve?" Yes, I do have. But will that be a reasonable one? Who knows. Life is like a Share Market. We can say the best time to investment and redempt by seeing the past fluctuations of the market. But we could never predict the same when it comes for a real-time or current market. As it is we can compare and comment anybody's life by seeing their past life. But we could never suggest an exact model or solution for current issues.
Life always goes with assumptions, confidents and trusts. (Think I am Deviating???)
So, Ask Questions to yourself folks. Its not important to answer all your own questions, but more the questions you raise is more the wisdom you will receive. Wondering how?? here it is... Once when you learn to raise questions and as a result if you had more questions, you will try searching forthe answers(Knowingly or Unknowingly) Your search for life starts from there. May your search returns answers or not, but your search will drive your life to a different level that you have never been in to. Search is the NIRVANA of life. Its not the matter of finding right answers as I said, its the matter of finding solutions. Some times you may end up with no solutions at all. But really that vacant state is the real solution for your search. Search never ends. Questions are the real initiative for a search. once you learn raising questions, you are in the right direction of yor life.
"Am I performing?"
"Am I doing well?"
"Am I really worth competing?"
"Am I really marketing myself well?"
"Am I buyable?(really)"
those are the type of questions that often raised knowingly or unknowingly in everyone. But it doesn't ensure of an answer. No need of getting too. But asking and searching is worth than finding the fact...
